International Coordinator to South America
Born in Bogotá, Colombia, he began his music studies at ISB Lasalle. He has studied at the preparatory music program at ASAB, Academia Superior de Artes de Bogotá. Faculty of Arts of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. licensed at the Metropolitan University of Santos Brasil and postgraduate degree in conducting orchestra at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of Caparaó in the Espiritu Santo state Brazil.
Member of the World Association of Marching Show Bands since 2003 Mr. Castillo has led several initiatives to strengthen bands on the continent, he has participated in several official events since 2004 in Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Uruguay as a band advisor and judge competitions. He has also participated in the initiatives in South American championships in Manizales Colombia 2007 and Atibaia Brazil in 2012.
He has experience in international events worldwide as a participant in WMC 2009 (Netherlands) with the Municipal Fanfare of Atibaia Brasil (FAMA) and the 2014 and 2015 world championships with the Municipal Fanfare of Taubaté Brasil (FAMUTA) and the Municipal Band of Bragança Paulista.
He has participated as a judge in official events in South America, Europe and Asia.

He is currently a Clarinet teacher in the “GURI Project” initiative of the Secretary of Culture of the State of São Paulo and founder of the “Christian Castillo Music School” in Caçapava SP Brazil, he is also an advisor and arranger for several bands in Colombia and Brazil.
